How we cover the UK
Every project follows the same process wherever it is: enquiry, survey, manufacture, installation and maintenance. We travel to site for the survey and the installation, and the products are manufactured for your project and delivered to site.
That single process keeps quality consistent. The doorset fitted in Aberdeen is made to the same schedule and checked against the same test evidence as the one fitted in London, and it is installed by teams who fit the product as the tested assembly. Distance does not change the specification, the evidence or the standard of installation.
One process, anywhere. Survey, manufacture and installation follow the same steps in every city, with the same test evidence and the same standard of fitting.
How a project runs, from survey to installation
- Enquiry. Tell us the site, the openings and the ratings you need. We reply with a written specification and a budget range within one working day.
- Survey. We visit the site to measure openings, check the structure around them and note access constraints. The survey fixes the sizes and the installation plan.
- Specification. We confirm the rating for each opening: forced entry to LPS 1175, ballistic classes in our ballistic ratings guide, blast, fire or vehicle impact, and any combinations. You receive the schedule with the test evidence it rests on.
- Manufacture. Each doorset, window or barrier is made to the survey sizes and finished to your schedule. See how the manufacture stage and our other services work.
- Installation. Our teams deliver to site and fit each product as the tested assembly, then commission locks, automation and access control.
- Handover. You receive the test evidence, the maintenance schedule and a single point of contact for maintenance afterwards.
What affects lead time
Every product is made to order, so lead time follows the specification rather than the postcode. The main factors are:
| Factor | What it changes |
|---|---|
| Rating | Each step up in LPS 1175, ballistic class or fire minutes adds material and weight, and heavier assemblies take longer to build |
| Combined ratings | Each rating needs its own test evidence for the same construction |
| Made-to-measure sizes | Double leaves, glazed screens and louvred doors add manufacturing steps |
| Finishes | From standard powder coat to specialist systems for harsh or heritage settings |
| Site readiness | The survey must be complete and the openings prepared before manufacture starts |
| Access constraints | Limited delivery windows or out-of-hours working in live buildings |
Send the opening sizes and the ratings and we return a programme with the quote. Browse the product groups and the sectors we serve to see which ratings fit your building.
Travel and access considerations
Distance adds planning, not compromise. A few points shape every project outside the main centres:
- Survey access. We agree access in advance, including out-of-hours visits for live buildings such as hospitals, stations and schools. The survey needs clear access to each opening and the structure around it.
- Delivery. Large doorsets and barriers travel on specialist vehicles. We check routes, unloading space and lifting equipment before the delivery date, so heavy assemblies arrive ready to fit.
- Occupied sites. Installation in working buildings is phased around your operations, with dust control and agreed working hours. Security upgrades in schools, hospitals and offices routinely run this way.
- Remote sites. Ferries, narrow lanes and limited crane access all go into the installation plan at survey stage, not on the day.

Frequently asked questions
Do you work in my city?
Yes, if it is in the UK. We supply and install nationwide from one operation and travel to site for survey and installation.
How does a project outside the main cities work?
Exactly as one inside them: enquiry, survey, manufacture, installation and maintenance, with delivery to your site.
Which products suit my building?
That depends on the threat and the standards your project requires. Our standards guides explain the ratings, and the sectors pages show how they apply. Send us the details via our contact page for a free quote.
